Frequently Asked Questions

  • Each pack has 4 versions of the LUTs and the Base version is a purely mathematical transform based on the colorspace specification. If color accuracy is critical, the Base version should be used.

  • Please check our shop page to see currently supported camera models.

  • While we support some older Sony cameras that can film in 8-bit, we encourage using an external recorder with those cameras to get the best result.

  • If your camera comes from the same manufacturer and shares the same sensor as the ones from the list, then it’s highly likely that it will look good. Although we can’t guarantee the results until we tested it ourselves and added it to the list.

  • The 33x versions are lower resolutions and can be used for monitoring or during the editing process to avoid performance issues in programs like Adobe Premiere. 65x versions are intended for the final color correction.

  • If you’re happy with the end result, then no. The LUTs were developed for rec709 displays, so the footage should look normal as soon as you apply the LUT. You can add additional contrast adjustment after the LUT for a more punchy look but it’s not necessary.
